FISHING

The Alpha Group owns directly and indirectly through its units, its own fishing vessels (RSW). These vessels, which operate as independent companies, are the main source of supply for the other units of the group.

The Fishing Of The Day Is Highly Targeted

The fishing port of Tanit is one of the main ports in the country, generating 25 per cent of the national fish production in volume and 45 per cent in value, the region is very rich in marine resources, in which there are three types of fisheries, deep-sea, artisanal and coastal.

Sardine, sardinella, mackerel and horse mackerel, Alpha GROUP is the most important company in the fisheries sector in Nouakchott, created in 2012 to catch, process and freeze large quantities of pelagic fish.

Thanks to our Quota (80,000 tons/year), and our five RSW vessels which are equipped with cooling systems in order to maintain the quality of the fish we catch, we have been able to meet the high market demand in terms of quantity and quality
